Collins Aerospace

During my time at Collins Aerospace, I had the privilege of engaging in a range of impactful projects that showcased my ingenuity and technical expertise. From developing new cost saving systems, to building macros, to running the site's quality lab for over a month, my time at Collins Aerospace was marked by transformative contributions and a dedication to pushing the boundaries of innovation in the aerospace industry.

Electric Grinder

Bushing Manufacturing

To optimize material usage during part manufacturing, I developed a cost-saving system for the C-17 program and later expanded it to the A380 program, collectively saving over $350k in stock material expenses.

Boeing Liason

One of my key roles involved acting as a liaison between Collins and Boeing, where I was responsible for meticulously sorting through and recording initial condition reports in an Excel sheet, a critical task that facilitated seamless collaboration between the two companies. To further enhance efficiency, I built a sophisticated Excel Visual Basic Application (VBA) macro, which automatically read part numbers and opened corresponding files in the sales order folder.

Quality Assurance

Additionally, I spearheaded Quality Assurance testing, meticulously evaluating chemical processes for compliance with regulatory and quality standards, encompassing adhesion, tensile, corrosion resistance, and heat resistance assessments, among others. I even took charge of running the department independently for three weeks, ensuring smooth operations and precise evaluations of test specimens.

Organized Files

File Management

Furthermore, I devised an innovative file management sync feature to ensure operators' access to up-to-date technical documents, utilizing Excel VBA to create a highly efficient system for storing, updating, and maintaining compliance with necessary specifications.
